  • Marius Dalacu

Thank you for presenting my application. 🙂

    • can you create also an AUR PKGBUILD for archlinux?

      • Marius Dalacu

I must learn how to do it first .. :p I will try.

        • i’ve downloaded the source of the software, when i’ve time i’ll try to make a correct PKGBUILD if you want

          • Marius Dalacu

Yes, i want. Thanks. Everything is statically build so there should not be any dependency issues.

          • i’ve created the PKGBUILD of the sofware.
i need to compile the “description” of the software and the license.

the archive of i686 version and x86_64 version are teh same?
because if i download the arvhive from the site
            dmsimpleapps. blogspot. ro/2014/04/dmmediaconverter. html
the link is the same for both versions

          • Marius Dalacu

Please, follow the GDrive link and you will find all the files includong the x86 one. I am in a vacation now and is difficult for be to correct the link from my phone.Thank you.

          • i’ve already tried but form google drive the download not work in PKGBUILD

          • Marius Dalacu

Then, can you extract the executable from x86 DEB file? It is in the opt folder. Thx.

          • i can’t, PKGBUILD isn’t an archive as is .deb for ubuntu or debian.

PKGBUILD is only a text file, where i insert command and information to download and install/unistall package, then i can’t extract executable from x86 deb, becaus in this way i must create a new archive with all files.
instead i want use your tar.gz archive in this way is a better solution.

don’t worry, when you turn back from your vacation, correct the link and i’ll complete the PKGBUILD

          • Marius Dalacu

            Ok, now i understand. Thx.

          • has the software a license?
if there is a license file, link me and i’ll add the license

          • Marius Dalacu

I have tried to post here a link but it does not work… Please on the GDrive link you will find the license file, open it in GDrive and choose export as txt file. Dhe download will begin…use that link.
            Is it ok? Thx,

          • i’ve uploaded the PKGBUILD on AUR
            you can find here https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/dmmediaconverter/
if someone want install this package on archlinux can install manually downloading the PKGBUILD or can install it with yaourt with command
            yaourt -S dmmediaconverter

i’ve also created a .desktop file, because there wasn’t into archive tar.gz, if you want include the .desktop and icon into your tar.gz you can download from here

            .desktop https://docs.google.com/uc?authuser=0&id=0B8AHSEMWV-pnMTNiMWE4c3U1ckk&export=download

            icon https://docs.google.com/uc?authuser=0&id=0B8AHSEMWV-pnTExiZnpkVHlleGc&export=download

          • Marius Dalacu

Thank you for doing this great job! The .desktop file should be included in the deb archive . The desktop file isn’t dependent where the executable resides? It think that you can not have a tar.gz, deb, pkg … universal desktop file. If i will update the application can i contact you again? Of so, where, here? Thx.

          • the .desktop file that i’ve created execute the software from command “dmmediaconverter” than search the binary file from /usr/bin and this should be universal for every distributions.

the icon file, in PKGBUILD is located in /usr/share/pixmaps then the .desktop file take icon from this location

when you release an update you can inform me on AUR (but you must register, after this, you have the possibility to flag the package “out of date” so i receive an email that inform me that i must update the package).

i think is better not write here because we are a bit “off topic”.

or i can add you on google plus and give you my email.

          • Marius Dalacu

Ok, i understand. I use G+ a lot so i would prefer to talk with you there.
            Thanks again.

          • Marius Dalacu

Ok i have corrected linux x86 tar.gz link.
            Now is all ok?
            Thx.

          • now is ok.
            i’ve terminated the PKGBUILD.
            shortly i’ll publy on AUR

          • i’ve created the PKGBUILD for AUR.
i need to compile a “description” of the software and i must insert the license.

i’ve a problem, with the i686 version, because from the site of the software,
            dmsimpleapps. blogspot. ro/2014/04/dmmediaconverter. html
the link of i686 and x86_64 tar.gz versions, are the same, then also if i donwload i686 version, i get x86_64 version, solve this problem and i can terminate also PKGBUILD for i686 version
