AutoKey è un’applicazione che permette agli utenti di automatizzare le operazioni ripetitive con diversi combinazioni di tasti e mouse o joystick. e di modificare l’aspetto delle finestre e cambiare stili. Permette inoltre di gestire le attività di raccolta di frasi o di altri testi, e di assegnare tasti di scelta rapida e abbreviazioni a queste frasi che vi permette di inserire su richiesta in qualsiasi programma che si sta utilizzando.

Ecco le novità della nuova versione 0.71.0 tratte dal sito del produttore:

  * Add an import/export facility (issue 58)
  * Add support for hotkeys with no modifiers (issue 53)
  * Fix shift unable to be used as a standalone modifier for a hotkey (issue 59)
  * Add ability to separately press and release keys using scripting API (issue 52)
  * Add some debug info around keyboard remap operation
  * Disable configuration of popup menu focus behaviour for now as it’s causing
    too many hard-to-diagnose bugs
  * Don’t grab keyboard when recording a macro
  * Don’t save changes to a global hotkey if the hotkey is disabled
  * Add assertions to detect invalid hotkeys being created
Ecco come installare/aggiornare AutoKey su Ubuntu

Apriamo il terminale e per prima cosa installiamo la la chiave d’autentificazione e repository scrivendo:

Per Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid e 9.10 Karmic

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cdekter/ppa && sudo apt-get update

Per Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty

sudo apt-key adv –recv-keys –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-key 0xbcd80c6a6e3c0ce5 && sudo echo “deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/cdekter/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main” | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list && sudo apt-get update

Per Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid

sudo apt-key adv –recv-keys –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-key 0xbcd80c6a6e3c0ce5 && sudo echo “deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/cdekter/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main” | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list && sudo apt-get update

Per Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy

sudo apt-key adv –recv-keys –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-key 0xbcd80c6a6e3c0ce5 && sudo echo “deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/cdekter/ppa/ubuntu hardy main” | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list && sudo apt-get update

ora se abbiamo AutoKey installata in una versione precedente basterà aggiornare la nostra Distribuzione altrimenti installiamo AutoKey con un semplice:

Per Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install autokey-gtk

Per Kubuntu

sudo apt-get install autokey-qt

e confermiamo. Ora avremo la nostra AutoKey installata nella nostra Distribuzione

In caso di future nuove versioni ci basterà aggiornare la nostra Distribuzione.
