Nimbus è il teme di default di OpenSolaris, installando i pacchetti riportati sotto possiamo  avere il tema Nimbus nella nostra Ubuntu o Debian.
Il tema Nimbus include:

- Gtk engine
- Gtk theme
- Metacity theme
- Icons

Per installarlo occorre scaricare il pacchetto riguardante le icone (unico per tutte le Distribuzioni) e il pacchetto riguardante il tema specifico per la nostra Distribuzione. I pacchetti una volta scaricati basta cliccarci sopra e confermare.
Al termine andiamo su Sistema -> Preferenze -> Aspetto e scegliamo il nostro nuovo tema Nimbus e le rispettive icone.
